LEADERSHIP AWARD WINNERS
1. This ALCOAST announces the winners of the 2025 Coast Guard
Inspirational Leadership Awards (ILA) and Navy League Leadership
Awards. These awards celebrate Coast Guard personnel who
demonstrated exceptional leadership, mentorship, and exemplary
service, making a significant impact and inspiring their colleagues
throughout 2024. Embodying the Coast Guard's Core Values of Honor,
Respect, and Devotion to Duty, seven winners and seven honorable
mentions were chosen from an impressive pool of 45 nominees.
2. Winners and honorable mention selectees of the Coast Guard
Inspirational Leadership Awards are:

4. The winners of these awards are exceptional leaders who epitomize
selfless service and unwavering dedication to their people, the
Service and mission excellence. They actively champion their teams,
fostering trust, teamwork, and integrity through their actions.
Their strategic vision and commitment to measurable results have
significantly and positively impacted the Coast Guard. They embody
the highest standards of the Service and exemplify the legacy of
these awards.
5. All winners receive the following:
a. A congratulatory call from the Commandant, Vice Commandant &
Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard.
b. Recognition at their local command and an engraved trophy.
c. Recognition in marketing and communications including a MyCG
story, social media, the Office of Leadership website and
SharePoint, and at the Sector/District/Command/Unit level.

6. The Navy League Leadership Award winners will receive:
a. YN1 Jessica Kirk, will be meritoriously advanced to
Chief Petty Officer.
b. Formal recognition from the Navy League and a certificate
signed by the Commandant and Master Chief Petty Officer of the
Coast Guard.
7. Selecting and recognizing high performing leaders is a service
imperative, supports individual and unit development, as well as
Coast Guard retention and recruitment efforts.
8. Nominating commands are encouraged to recognize their winners
by documenting their selection using all appropriate methods
such as a positive CG-3307, personnel awards, OERs and EERs, and/or
with a citation to positively impact future boards, panels, and
assignments.
9. Nominating commands are encouraged to recognize the honorable
mention selectees and those not selected with due recognition using
all appropriate methods. At a minimum, documentation of the award
nomination should be reflected in nominees' performance evaluations,
personnel files and other methods such as positive CG-3307s.
