1. This ALCOAST authorizes medical staff to use the electronic
health record software, MHS Genesis (MHSG), aboard Coast Guard
Cutters.
2. All Medical Doctors, Physician Assistants and Independent Health
Service Technicians assigned or TDY onboard a Coast Guard Cutter
are directed to document all patient care as per REFs (A) and (B)
in MHSG with the following exceptions:
    a. Vessel is without internet access,
    b. Care documented on people without a DOD ID.
For these listed exceptions, downtime procedures as outlined in
REF (B) will be observed.
3. Follow current workflows as outlined in REF (B). Specific MHS
Genesis Afloat workflows are under construction and will be released
on Homeplate as soon as they become available. Homeplate is located

4. New users can find information on how to request access or assign
new roles on SharePoint located at:

5. Utilize CGFIXIT for reporting access issues. On CGFIXIT home
page, select "Browse Categories" located on Top Left drop down box,
select Health, Safety & Work-Life Service Center, select MHS-Genesis
& Video Connect, request category, select Software Related Requests
and Issues. Complete the rest of the ticket and attach any specific
screenshots that help identify the issue. Do NOT include any PHI or
PII information.
