A. Officer Accessions, Evaluations, and Promotions,

1. This ALCOAST announces an adjustment to the total number of
reserve component managers (RCMs) authorized as promulgated in
REF (A). RCMs are those officers previously identified as
reserve program administrators (RPAs) in Chapter 7 of REF (A).
2. Currently, Article 7.C.1. of REF (A) authorizes the total
number of permanent RCMs to be maintained at 1.3 times the number
of RCM coded billets, rounded to the nearest integer. Article 7.C.3.
of REF (A) authorizes the maximum number of RCM Captains to be
maintained at 1.5 times the number of RCM Captain billets.
3. Effective immediately, the total number of RCMs will
be maintained at 1.1 times the number of RCM coded billets,
rounding to the nearest whole number. This total includes
permanent, provisional, and Captain RCMs.
4. Policy questions may be directed to COMDT (CG-1M1) at

5. Questions regarding the RCM assignment process may be directed
to RPM-2 Assignments at HQS-SMB-CGPSC-RPM-2-Assignments@uscg.mil.
6. These changes will be reflected in the next revision of
REF (A).
