1. In accordance with reference (A), this message announces a Reserve
Officer Active Status Panel (ROASP) that is scheduled to convene on
20 May 2025 to recommend Coast Guard Reserve officers for retention in an
active status. This is a new opportunity to apply to the ROASP that was not
previously announced in reference (B).
2. Eligible Officers: Officers with Reserve commissions in the grade of
Commander and below, who have been non-selected one or more times on the
Active Duty Promotion List (ADPL) or Reserve Component Manager (RCM)
promotion list to the next higher grade and are scheduled for release from
active duty may apply. Candidates are encouraged to contact the Reserve
Assignments branch ahead of the Panel to discuss potential Reserve
assignments: HQS-SMB-CGPSC-RPM-2-ASSIGNMENTS@uscg.mil.
3. Application Process: All eligible officers should submit complete
application packages and questions to ARL-SMB-CGPSC-R2R-ROASP@uscg.mil no
later than 13 May 2025. Application packages must include the following
items listed below. Incomplete packages will be returned without action.
a. Written request in Coast Guard memo format IAW reference (C).
b. Approved CG PSC-OPM separation authorization.
4. Applicants electing to submit communications to the Panel must follow the
guidelines provided in paragraph 10.d of reference (D) and Article 3.A.4.f of
reference (E). Communications shall be sent via email as a command-endorsed,
electronically signed memo to HQS-SMB-CGPSC-RPM-BoardsPanels@uscg.mil to
arrive no later than the day before the Panel convenes. Early submission
of communications to the Panel is required to allow adequate time for
correction should a submission contain unauthorized content.
5. All applicants are encouraged to review their Employee Summary Sheet
(ESS). The ESS provides a consolidated view of a member's information as it
appears in Direct Access. All officers requesting candidacy are also
encouraged to review their official Coast Guard Military Human Resource
Record (CGMHRR). For information on viewing your CGMHRR via iPERMS, please
