Work of 20 January 2025

1. This ALCOAST supports the actions directed in REFs (A) through
(D) to facilitate a standardized and orderly process for workspace
requests for military and civilian personnel transitioning from
remote work agreements.
2. Effective immediately, Host Commands have final authority to
grant space requests for remote workers within the buildings they
control, to include leased spaces, and are directed to start taking
action to approve requests. A Host Command is defined as the
landlord unit and/or the command that in most cases coordinates
multi-unit equities within an existing CG-controlled footprint
(i.e., a Base Commander). Space approvals within Host Command spaces
should be a collaborative effort with the tenant command however the
Host Command is the adjudicating authority. A list of the current
space requests is located on the following SharePoint:

Commands may access the tracker by scrolling down to the link on
the page for "Return to In-Person Work Tracker". Directions are
located on the page as well as at the top of the spreadsheet:

racker/AllItems.aspx

Units can filter by "Closest CG within 50 miles"
column to see space requests for their unit. For desks that have
been identified as immediately available (no billet assigned), the
Host Command shall approve space requests in the following priority
order:
Priority 1: Host Unit personnel
Priority 2: CG Tenant Command personnel
Priority 3: Parent Command of Host Unit personnel
Priority 4: Parent Command of CG Tenant Command personnel
Priority 5: CG personnel
Priority 6: DHS personnel
Priority 7: Other Federal personnel
When assigning space for military personnel coming off remote work
agreements, space will not be authorized at units where the military
member will outrank the CO/OIC. Recruiting Offices are not to be
used to provide workspace to former remote workers.
3. Host Commands must prioritize space allocation for Coast Guard
personnel in their area before approving space for non-CG federal
employees. They are responsible for providing space and printer
access, while additional support will be provided by the member's
command. If space is being authorized to non-CG federal employee(s)
who are not assigned detached duty to the Coast Guard, the Host
Command shall fill out a Real Property Outgrant Request Form and
send it to their servicing Civil Engineering Unit (CEU). A Real
Property Outgrant Request Form template will be available on the
PDIT-P SharePoint:
(Copy and Paste URL Below into Browser)

https://uscg.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/USCG-PD47

4. For space requests that cannot be accommodated at this time,
supervisors of personnel requesting space shall fill out this Remote
Worker Space Request Form:
(Copy and Paste URL Below into Browser)

https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/UHyAkQrW8d?origin=lprLink

Individual members should not contact other federal entities
requesting space at this time.
5. Personnel currently working remotely without an assigned
workspace in the initial space allocation will continue to work
remotely until further notice. A comprehensive plan is being
developed to attempt to address their workspace needs, and they
will be informed as soon as a solution is determined. In the
interim, their existing remote work arrangements will remain in
place to maintain operational continuity and minimize disruptions,
ensuring uninterrupted workflow.
6. Host Commands shall complete space approvals for their available
desks no later than 26 February 2025. This includes notification of
approval to the member. As members are approved for space,
supervisors of those members will update their status on the tracker
from paragraph 2 of this ALCOAST. Members approved for space should
plan to report to that space no later than 26 February 2025.
7. Be sure to check FAQs related to this and other Executive Orders:

Direct any additional questions not addressed by your chain of
command to PDIT-P@uscg.mil.
8. This message will be cancelled on 26 FEB 2026.
9. RADM M.H. Day, Acting Deputy Commandant for Mission Support
(CG-DCMS), sends.
10. Internet release is authorized.
