1. This update serves as notification that nominations for the
Diversity Leadership Awards have been suspended and will no longer
be accepted for the 2025 Inspirational Leadership Awards (ILA)
Panel. These awards include:
a. MCPO Pearl Faurie Women's Leadership Award;
b. CAPT Dorothy Stratton Women's Leadership Award; and
c. CAPT Edward R. Williams Coast Guard Award for Excellence in
Diversity.
2. Nominations are still being accepted for the Inspirational and
Navy League Leadership Awards:
a. CAPT John G. Witherspoon (Officers, one Active Duty and one
Reserve member selected)
b. MCPO Angela M. McShan (E-7 only, one Active Duty and one
Reserve member selected)
c. Mr. George R. Putnam (Civilian Appropriated or
Non-Appropriated Funded Employee)
d. COMO Charles S. Greanoff (Auxiliary Flotilla Commander)
e. CAPT David H. Jarvis (Active Duty Officer)
f. SM1 Douglas A. Munro (Active Duty Enlisted)
3. Eligibility requirements for awards listed in paragraph 2 have
been updated:
a. CAPT John G. Witherspoon, MCPO Angela M. McShan, and
Mr. George R. Putnam: Eligibility requirement: "Fosters a culture of
diversity through inclusion and commitment." This requirement has
been removed.
b. COMO Charles S. Greanoff ILA: Eligibility requirement:
"Fostered the spirit and intent of diversity." This requirement has
been removed.
4. Detailed eligibility requirements and specific nomination
guidelines are outlined on the COMDT (CG-DCMS-DPR) website:
