1. The Office of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard
(MCPOCG) is soliciting nominations for the 2024 Enlisted Persons
of the Year - Active Duty and Reserve Component.
2. Eligibility:
    a. This program is designed to recognize enlisted persons of the
year from the active duty and reserve component workforce, in pay
grades E-2 through E-6.
    b. Each nominee's actions must have occurred during calendar
year 2024.
    c. Nominees should reflect a spirit of Pride, Professionalism and
Dedication, and must embody our Coast Guard Core Values.
3. Nomination packages shall contain the following information:
    a. Nominations will be made using standard CG Memorandum and
shall not exceed two pages.
    b. Nominations should reflect sustained exceptional performance
and must include the following categories:
        (1) Core Values: Embodies the highest standards of Coast Guard
Core Values, can communicate their meaning, hold peers and
subordinates accountable to these organizational merits, and use
them to guide performance, conduct, and decisions.
        (2) Leading Others and Teams: Contributes to group processes;
encourage and facilitate cooperation, pride, trust, and group
identity; and build commitment, team spirit, and strong
relationships.
        (3) Accountability and Responsibility: Demonstrates ownership
for their areas of responsibility, are accountable to effectively
organize and prioritize tasks, and efficiently use resources.
        (4) Technical Proficiency: Demonstrates belief in their own
abilities and ideas; are self-motivated, results-oriented, and
accountable for their performance; recognize personal strengths and
weaknesses; emphasize personal character development; and use
position and personal power appropriately.
4. Process/timeline:
    a. Each District Gold Badge Command Master Chief (CMC) shall
email one active-duty nomination and one reserve component
nomination to the Office of the MCPOCG email at MCPOCG@uscg.mil
no later than 28 February 2025.
    b. The MCPOCG will convene a selection panel, and recommendations
from this panel will be submitted to the Commandant for approval.
Both winners will be announced via ALCOAST.
    c. Questions regarding the process or nomination packages should
be referred to the cognizant District Gold Badge CMC.
5. The POC for the Enlisted Person of the Year award is
SCPO Jetta Disco, COMDT (CG-00B) at Jetta.H.Disco@uscg.mil.
6. MCPOCG Heath Jones, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast
Guard (CG-00B), sends.
