1. SDFM, formerly ASMC, will be offering the option to attend
their hybrid National PDI 2025 in person in New Orleans, Louisiana
or in a virtual capacity from 28-30 May 2025. The theme for SDFM
PDI 2025 is "Elevating Standards/Defining Distinction". PDI is a
valuable training and professional development opportunity for
resource/financial managers in the Department of Defense (DoD),
U. S. Coast Guard, and both the public and private sectors. This
three-day training event will include over 125 educational
sessions in support of the DoD Financial Management Certification
Program and features a Coast Guard Community Day. Both National
level achievement and chapter awards will be presented during this
event.
2. Attendance is open to all Coast Guard active duty and civilian
members within the financial management community. Selection
priority will be given to those who hold Certified Defense
Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Government Financial Manager
(CGFM), and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certifications,
and those who are current SDFM Members.
3. Registration will enable attendees to participate in live or
virtual sessions and provides full access to all recorded PDI
sessions. COMDT (CG-81) will fund registration and travel costs in
accordance with COMDT (CG-81) travel guidance for up to 45 in-person
attendees, and up to 27 virtual attendees. Requests must be
received by 10 January 2025 to comply with DHS' approval deadline
and to facilitate the reduced early registration fee.
4. Personnel interested in attending the virtual or in-person SDFM
PDI 2025 must read the SF-182 instructions and complete the SF-182
template. Visit the following link to access the SF-182 and
