SUBJ: FY25 CGR IMT REQUEST FOR 6 TEMPORARY ASSIGNED RESERVE RECRUITERS FOR
LONG TERM ADOS
1. PSC-RPM is soliciting candidates to serve as Temporary Recruiters at
the 6 locations listed below. These offices will be advertised in DAMOB
request number soon to follow.
a. Recruiting Office Atlantic City, NJ
b. Recruiting Office Houston, TX
c. Recruiting Office New Orleans, LA
d. Recruiting Office Philadelphia, PA
e. Recruiting Office Portland, ME
f. Recruiting Office Vancouver, WA
2. Recruiting is a no-fail mission and a top priority of the COMDT. As the
Coast Guard grows in resources and capability, it is imperative that Coast
Guard Recruiting meets the demands. In this competitive position you will be
responsible for recruiting applicants in the following programs: Reserve
enlisted and all non-Academy accessions. Visit www.GoCoastGuard.com to see Coast

3. Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Recruiters can expect to give presentations on a weekly basis to various
sized audiences.
b. Recruiters visit schools, colleges, clubs, community centers, etc. to
advertise Coast Guard opportunities, identify prospects, and develop relationships.
c. Recruiters must identify and develop relationships with key centers of
influence in the community. Recruiters often engage influencers such as family
members and community leaders to garner support for an applicant's decision.
d. Recruiters make daily decisions on how to attract applicants most suitable to
become a shipmate in our Service. Recruiters must be creative to find new ways
to gain accessions.
e. Recruiters conduct the screening, processing, and accession paperwork
necessary for enlistments and commissioning's.
f. Recruiters frequently work irregular hours to conform to civilian schedules
and perform travel to accomplish their mission.
4. Recruiting positions come with Special Duty Pay after successful completion
of the recruiting training.
5. Eligibility:
a. Production Recruiter positions: E5-E7.
b. Members with folliculitis are eligible to apply.
c. Applicants shall have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, attention to
detail, infallible character, professionalism, and an energetic focus on
building a stronger Coast Guard.
6. Process/timeline:
a. APPLICATION DEADLINE 30 SEP 2024: All interested applicants must have command
endorsement in Direct Access prior to the deadline all others will not be
considered.
b. OOA 01 OCT - 04 OCT 2024: CGRC interviews all PR applicants.
c. 07 OCT 2024: CGRC Will send list to CGR IMT for Selection.
d. OOA 08 OCT 2024: All selected members will receive a notification via email.
e. The expected report date is 1 NOV 2024. Selected members will report in
person training prior to reporting to their units to a location TBD.
