14 December 2022 V1.5 IAW Conference Request Information
1. The Coast Guard Geospatial Management Office will be holding a
Geospatial Information System (GIS) User Group Training at
Hitchcock Hall located on the St. Elizabeth Campus at DHS
Headquarters. The User Group will be held from 0800-1630 to
19-21 November 2024.
2. The first Coast Guard GIS User Group training event will bring
together end users across the Coast Guard to share programmatic
updates on the Coast Guard's Enterprise GIS platforms (Sextant,
Spar, ArcGIS Online), provide training opportunities on basic and
advanced topics, and showcase various GIS products created by Coast
Guard users. Presenters will include Coast Guard End Users,
Power Users, Developers, Training Specialists, and industry experts
from ESRI and elsewhere.
3. The first day will focus on GIS basics and new users. The second
and third day will focus on intermediate and advanced GIS users.
If sufficient interest, there may be an opportunity for a classified
session on the use of GIS products to support missions of national
importance. Attendees can express their interest and availability
to attend either a collateral or SCI briefings at the conclusion of
the conference within the Registration Form using the link below:

4. Funding for travel will be the responsibility of the member's
unit. Attendance for contractors must be approved by their
respective Contracting Officer Representative. All members need to
RSVP through the Registration Form link by 06 SEP 2024. To allow the
conference organizer to submit the conference hosting paperwork,
registration must include travel estimate to comply with REF (A).
A virtual option is not currently planned but may be available
pending interest. Member's may state interest in the Registration
Form. If a virtual option is available, it will be streaming only
(not interactive).
