ON JULY 30, 2024, A 2 YEAR OLD HUMPBACK WHALE WAS SIGHTED IN BOSTON HARBOR. MARINERS ARE URGED TO KEEP A LOOKOUT AND TRANSIT THIS AREA SLOWLY. NOAA FISHERIES RECOMMENDS ALL VESSELS TO STAY AT LEAST 100 FEET AWAY FROM HUMPBACK WHALES. PLEASE REPORT ANY SIGHTINGS OF INJURED, ENTANGLED, OR DEAD WHALES TO NOAA FISHERIES AT (866) 755-6622 OR TO THE COAST GUARD VIA CHANNEL 16.
