1. PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting for candidates to fill the following Electronics Technician E6 position:

2. IAW ref (B), Phase 1 Candidates are defined as members who are below the currently published
cut line with their stratified list on the current, active advancement eligibility list.
3. Report date 01 OCT 2024. Candidate earning the position will report for pipeline training IAW CG-751 Master
Training List and ref (C). Estimated report date to the unit is OOA 01JUL25.
4. Interested candidates shall submit one PCS eResume in Direct Access NLT COB 04 AUG 2024.
5. Members applying for this A2P solicitation shall notify their XO or the first E-7 in their chain of
command of their intention to compete for this assignment prior to the eResume submission
deadline listed in paragraph 4.
6. A2P may be used to fill this position if a candidate meets the criteria in ref (B). If a qualified E5 is
selected, the member will advance to E6 IAW ref (B), if all other advancement requirements are
met and the advancement recommendation is maintained.
7. E6s in receipt of PCS orders may not apply for this position. E6s desiring to fill the above position
who are not tour complete are eligible to apply and will have priority over those E5s who do apply.
However, these members must receive a command endorsement addressing backfill
requirements. Commands should be aware that immediate backfills are not available and will incur
a gap at their unit until AY25.
8. As a reminder, candidates should ensure their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) is complete
and accurate (e.g. CG-4082, CG-3307s, awards, academic transcripts). Members can view their
OMPF by logging onto iPERMS: https://iperms.mymilrecord.uscg.mil/login/. If updates to the OMPF are needed,
members can work with their local Personnel & Admin office. Members are also encouraged to
review their ESS in CGBI.
