SUBJ: FY25 SOLICITATION FOR ENLISTED DOD LEADERSHIP COURSES
1. The Office of Leadership (DCMS-DPR-5) is announcing the enlisted
DoD leadership training opportunities for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025.
Course information, training objectives, prerequisites, application/
nomination procedures and deadlines are located on the DPR-5
website:

2. The following Coast Guard LDC courses are available for FY25:
    a. Leadership and Management School (LAMS) (340720) Required for
Service Wide Exam (SWE) eligibility for E-6. (5 Day resident course)
    b. Chief Petty Officer Academy (CPOACAD) (230442 AD / 500884 RES)
Required for advancement to E-8. (4 weeks resident course)
    c. Senior Enlisted Leadership Course (SELC) (501799) Required for
advancement to E-9. (6 weeks online, 2 weeks resident course)
    d. Team Leader / Facilitator Course (500203) Target audience is
E-6 to E-9. (5 day resident course)
3. Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) Enlisted Joint Professional
Military Education Course (EJPME) 1 & 2 (Online, self-paced, 40
hours each)
    a. EJPME 1 is intended for E-5/6
    b. EJPME 2 is intended for E-7+
    c. Courses are often pre-requisites for DoD courses.
4. Joint Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Academy
(JSOFSEA) Course Code: 100021 (Target Audience E-8/9, 6 months/181
hours online plus 8 weeks resident)
    a. Application requirements are listed on the DPR-5 website at:

    b. Applications are due by Aug 15th, 2024.
    c. Panel results will be announced to applicants by Sep 1st.
    d. Completion of EJPME 2 is recommended prior to arrival.
5. The following DoD courses are available for FY25 via nomination
by Gold Badge CMC's. Members should reach out to their local
silver badge for details on being nominated. Applications via memo
are no longer accepted to DPR-5. Those nominated will be notified if
they are a primary or alternate and orders will be cut by ETQC based
on that determination. This less formal process will increase use of
available seats while ensuring the best possible candidates.
    a. Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (AFNCOA) Course
Code: 501358 (Authorized Substitute for LAMS, 5 weeks resident or
5 weeks full-time online course).
      (1) Completion of EJPME 1 is required to attend (but not
for nomination).
      (2) Nominations are due by Sep 15th, 2024 for FY25.
      (3) Nominations for online version will need a workstation and
proper learning environment or telework from home authorization for
entirety of the class.
    b. Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (AFSNCOA)
Course Code: 400301. (Authorized substitute for the Chief Petty
Officer Academy, 5 weeks resident course).
      (1) Completion of EJPME 1 is required to attend (but not
for nomination).
      (2) Nominations are due by Sep 15th, 2024 for FY25.
    c. US Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (USNSEA) Course Code: 400302
(Authorized substitute for the Chief Petty Officer Academy, 3 weeks
online, 3 weeks resident).
      (1) Completion of EJPME 2 is required to attend (but not
for nomination).
      (2) Nominations are due by Sep 15th, 2024 for FY25.
    d. GATEWAY (National Defense University, 6 weeks online or 6 days
resident)
      (1) This course is by nomination from the Deputy MCPOCG.
      (2) Members interested in this joint training opportunity
should reach out to their respective Rating Force Master Chief or
first Gold Badge in their chain of command.
      (3) Target Audience is E-7 (or E-6 above the cut) serving in
a joint billet (working for the DoD) or serving in a joint
environment (working for the CG).
      (4) Completion of EJPME 1 is required to attend.
      (5) Nominations will be accepted throughout the year. Members
and commands will be notified if they are selected.
6. The following DoD courses are considered authorized substitutions
for LAMS but are not scheduled through FORCECOM. (Local units may
reach out to nearest Air Force or Army school for attendance
requests and are responsible for funding these opportunities. Target
audience for both courses is E-4 testing or above the cut for E-5.)
    a. Air Force Airman Leader School (ALS)
    b. Army Basic Leader School (BLS)
