SUBJ: CYBER MISSION SPECIALIST (CMS) LATERAL SCREENING PANEL RESULTS
FOR ASSIGNMENT YEAR 2025 (AY25)

1. IAW ref (a), the CMS Lateral Change in Rating (CIR) Screening Panel
convened 09 July 2024. Successful screening does not guarantee a
CMS CIR authorization. Panel results, needs of the Service, and
position vacancies in AY25 will guide CIR authorizations. The CMS
Assignment Officer (AO) will notify those members who are authorized
a CIR.
2. Questions regarding CMS position vacancies shall be directed to
the CMS AO, CWO Christopher Smith, at christopher.m.smith6@uscg.mil.
3. The proceedings of a Screening Panel, including its deliberations
and criteria for selection, cannot be disclosed to any person who
was not a member of the Panel. Questions regarding the Screening
Panel process shall be directed to CG PSC‐EPM‐1 at
HQS‐SMB‐CGPSC‐EPM‐1‐Panels(at)uscg.mil.
