A. The U.S. Coast Guard Addendum to the National Search and Rescue
Supplement (NSS) to the International Aeronautical and Maritime
Search and Rescue Manual (IAMSAR), COMDTINST 16130.2G
B. The Search and Rescue (SAR) Continuous Improvement Program
(CIP), COMDTINST 16107.1
1. This ALCOAST announces policy and guidance to replace the
entirety of the long-standing SAR case study program contained in
REF (A).
2. REF (B) establishes new policy and guidance to identify, collect,
communicate, and retain critical lessons learned, best practices,
and recommended actions to improve Coast Guard, U.S. National,
and Global SAR systems.
3. Effective immediately, all SAR case study guidance in REF (A) is
replaced by REF (B).
4. This message will be cancelled on 16 JUL 2025.
