AT DESIGNATED SURF STATIONS SOLICITATION

1. PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting all BM1, BM2, and BM3 candidates
to fill PSP positions at designated surf feeder stations for AY25.
The screening process will consider all applicants, regardless of tour
completion.
2. Report date will be OOA 01 JUL 2025.
3. Interested candidates should review Ref (A) and submit for
PSP, surf, and heavy weather positions. To be considered,
members must request to be screened by submitting a Direct Access
screening request NLT 12 AUG 2024. Late submissions will
not be accepted.
4. Instructions for submitting a Direct Access screening request can be found
on Refs (B) & (C). PSP results will be available for review on Refs (B) & (C)
no later than 13 SEP 2024.
5. Members who screen successfully must submit an E-resume listing
all available PSP, surf, and heavy weather positions rank ordered no
later than 25 OCT 2024. Members who do not screen successfully
will follow normal AY25 timelines for E-resume deadlines. A list of
available positions will be provided on the shopping list in Direct
Access and available by reviewing Refs (B) & (C).
6. All E-resume submissions for this solicitation require a command
endorsement IAW Ref (A). The specific elements listed in 6.B.4. of
Ref (A) shall be addressed in the command endorsement. Members shall
ensure a statement IAW 6.B.4-01 of Ref (A) is completed in the member
comments section.
7. Members who are selected into the PSP will be issued orders
to a PSP position at one of the designated surf stations. A complete
list of designated surf stations are available for review on the CG-731
SharePoint page and Refs (B) and (C).
8. The initial tour length will be four years. Members who obtain
the Surfman certification should expect a follow-on assignment to
another designated surf station.
9. All tour complete BM's who are currently assigned to a
designated surf station, who have not qualified as Surfman
and desire to remain in the PSP shall apply IAW this message.
In addition to the command endorsement, CO's/OIC's should
provide a statement as to the member's ability to fill
designated surf positions as well as anticipated time remaining
before becoming fully qualified as a Surfman. Members who are
not tour complete and assigned to one of the identified feeder
units need not apply.
