3. IAW Ref (B), Phase 1 Candidates are defined as members who are below
the currently published cut line within their stratified list on the
current, active advancement eligibility list (MAY 2023 SWE).
4. Members of the same paygrade are only authorized to apply for the listed
Command position, if it enhances career progression. Members applying for
Command positions through A2P will be screened with all applicants applying
for that position with current established screening procedures.
5. Report date OOA 01 AUG 2024.
6. Interested candidates shall submit one PCS E-Resume in Direct
Access NLT COB 28 MAY 2024. A Direct Access command endorsement is
required for positions listed in Para. 1, and shall include the very specific
elements required in Chapter 1.C.6.i and/or 1.C.8.c of Ref (A).
7. A2P may be used to fill these positions if a candidate meets the criteria
in Ref (B). If a qualified MBR is selected, the member will advance to the
next higher pay grade IAW Ref (B) if all other advancement requirements
are met and the advancement recommendation is maintained.
8. Members applying for this A2P solicitation shall notify their command or
the first E-7 in their chain of command of their intention to compete for this
assignment prior to the e-Resume submission deadline.
9. As a reminder, candidates should ensure their Official Military
Personnel File (OMPF) is complete and accurate (e.g. CG-4082,
CG-3307s, awards, academic transcripts). Members can view their OMPF
by logging onto iPERMS: https://iperms.mymilrecord.uscg.mil/login/. If
updates to the OMPF are needed, members can work with their local
Personnel & Admin office. Members are also encouraged to review their
ESS in CGBI.
