1. PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting for candidates to fill the following
Public Affairs Specialist E-7 position:
GRADE POSN NR UNIT LOCATION
PAC 00033331 D7 EXT AFFAIRS STAFF (DE) MIAMI, FL
2. IAW Ref (B), Phase 1 Candidates are defined as members who are below
the currently published cut line with their stratified list on the
current, active advancement eligibility list.
3. Report date OOA 01 AUG 2024.
4. Interested candidates shall submit one PCS E-Resume in Direct
Access NLT COB 23 APR 2024.
5. Members applying for this A2P solicitation shall notify their
XO or the first E-7 in their chain of command of their
intention to compete for this assignment prior to the eResume
submission deadline listed in paragraph 4.
6.Members in Special Assignments may apply to this position.
However, these members must receive a command endorsement addressing
backfill requirements. Commands should be aware that immediate backfills
for Special Assignments are not available and will incur a gap at their
unit until AY25.
7. E7s in receipt of AY 24 PCS orders may not apply to this position. E7s
desiring to fill the above position who are not tour complete are
eligible to apply and will have priority over those E6s who do apply.
However, these members must receive a command endorsement addressing
backfill requirements. Commands should be aware that immediate backfills
are not available and will incur a gap at their unit until AY25.
8. A2P may be used to fill this positions if a candidate meets the criteria
in ref (B). If a qualified E6 is selected, the member will advance
to E7 IAW Ref (B), if all other advancement requirements
are met and the advancement recommendation is maintained.
9. As a reminder, candidates should ensure their Official Military
Personnel File (OMPF) is complete and accurate (e.g. CG-4082,
CG-3307s, awards, academic transcripts). Members can view their OMPF
by logging onto iPERMS: htps://iperms.mymilrecord.uscg.mil/login/. If
updates to the OMPF are needed, members can work with their local
Personnel & Admin office. Members are also encouraged to review their
ESS in CGBI.
