1. This ALCOAST cancels REF (A). The following is updated guidance.
2. Coast Guard employees now have access to the new version of
Skillsoft called Percipio. The transition from Skillsoft Skillport
to Skillsoft Percipio is an important step in enhancing our
service's learning capabilities and providing a more interactive
experience for professional development for all Coast Guard
personnel.
3. Skillsoft Percipio does not replace the Coast Guard's current
or future learning management systems. All mandated training
requirements shall be fulfilled through the Coast Guard's learning
management system.
4. Percipio is a platform that enables personnel to obtain and
maintain certifications and skills to support lifelong learning.
It is professional and self-directed performance support that is
not the mandatory training housed within the Coast Guard's learning
management system. The platform makes learning personalized and
accessible, offering a blend of self-paced online courses, books
and audio books, hands-on practice and virtual live online bootcamps
to close skill gaps. Employees can engage in customized learning
paths and Artificial Intelligence features that can curate content
from all sources. Content is divided into Business Skills,
Management and Leadership, Productivity and Collaboration Skills,
and IT Certifications. Each collection is broken down into
approximately 500 curated channels that consist of 3,700 courses,
21,000 books, and 38,000 videos created by experts.
5. Actions:
    a. Skillsoft Skillport will be retired and no longer accessible
as of May 15, 2024. All Skillsoft Skillport users should complete
their learning programs by 15 APR 2024.
    b. Skillsoft Skillport training records will not transfer to
Percipio. Users should download and save their learning transcripts
from Skillsoft before 01 MAY 2024 to preserve their learning
history.

    a. Coast Guard personnel can access Percipio by visiting:
