Coast Guard warns public of dangerous illegal charter operations following arrest of two individuals

NEW YORK — The owner and operator of the vessel Stimulus Money, Richard Cruz and Jaime Pinilla Gomez, were arrested and served with a complaint yesterday after the July 2022 capsizing of the vessel while underway on the Hudson River, resulting in the death of two passengers, a seven-year-old boy and 48-year-old woman.
