SUBJ: PET TRANSPORTATION ENTITLEMENT
A. 2023 NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT
B. JOINT TRAVEL REGULATIONS
1. In accordance with references (a) and (b), Coast Guard service members
who receive Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders,
are authorized reimbursement costs associated with pet relocation.
a. Continental United States (CONUS) PCS transfers,
members are authorized up to $550.00.
b. Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) PCS transfers,
members are authorized up to $2,000.
2. This revision became effective on January 1, 2024.
3. Coast Guard Pay and Personnel Center (PPC) is in the process of updating
the CG-2000 PCS Departing Worksheet. Information on Joint Travel Regulations
has been added to PPC’s Travel website: https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/ppc/travel/
4. RDML R. E. Dash, Commander, CG Personnel Service Center, sends.
5. Internet release is authorized.
