SUBJ: OFF-SEASON SOLICITATION FOR O4, O3, and O2 OPPORTUNITIES AT USCGA
1. The below positions are being solicited for any O4/LCDR to O2/LTJG

2. The Commandant’s Accountability and Transparency Review (ATR) recommended
additional oversight for the Corps of Cadets, including additional Company Officer
and Company Chief positions. Company Officers are a cadet’s first-line
supervisor, monitoring the academic, athletic, and military performance of
the cadets within their assigned company. They are outside the cadet chain
of command and report directly to the Assistant Commandant of Cadets in
fulfilling their responsibilities to act as inspirational role models as
commissioned leaders of character; guide and counsel cadets on all aspects of
their personal and professional development; assist the cadet chain of command
in creating environments that support cadet development; facilitate the individual
development of cadets in their companies; support the completion of collateral
duties assigned to cadets within their companies; and act as an advisor to the
Commandant of Cadets in cadet affairs matters. One of the Company Officer positions
will be assigned primary duties in the Staff Judge Advocate’s Office, where they
will be responsible for coordinating administrative investigations and managing
the Academy’s responsibilities in accordance with the Harassing Behavior Prevention,
Response, and Accountability Instruction (COMDTINST 5350.6).

details. Positions can be sorted by "OFF-SEASON" under the "Reason Shopped" category (column K).

4. Interested members should apply to the position in Direct Access by COB 23 FEB 2024,
and email the respective Assignment Officer as listed on the Shopping List.
Officers of rank O4/LCDR, O3/LT, and O2/LTJG will be considered for these positions.
Members applying should anticipate a report date of OOA 01 JUL 24 if selected. If
requesting to short-tour, a Direct Access e-resume command endorsement is required
and must address the unit's backfill requirements. Officers who are already in receipt
of orders for AY24 are not eligible to apply to these positions.
