1. This ALCOAST announces changes to REF (A).
2. REF (B) added a formal submission deadline and process to
REF (A) for in-zone officers to "opt-out" of promotion selection
board consideration. Effective immediately, the following language
in REF (A) as Section A.5.d of Chapter 3: "Requests. All requests
must be received via e-mail to OPM-1 (for ADPL officers) or RPM-1
(for IDPL officers) no later than 15 October for the following
promotion year" is replaced with "Requests. Commander (CG PSC-OPM-1)
and Commander (CG PSC-RPM-1), as appropriate, will provide guidance
for annual request timelines and procedures to account for promotion
year officer corps planning."
3. These changes will be reflected in the next revision of REF (A),
which will be released within the next year. All other policies
outlined in REF (A) not addressed remain unchanged.
4. This message will be cancelled on 29 NOV 2024.
