1. All members are highly encouraged to pursue at least one Special
Assignment during their career. These career broadening assignments
provide members valuable opportunities to represent their ratings,
network, and learn about other operational and mission support
activities, making them ideal candidates for future assignments to
highly visible leadership and management positions (e.g. Silver Badge,
OIC, School Chief).
2. This message solicits candidates and outlines the application
process for members interested in a special duty assignment at the
Talent Management Transformation Program Integration Office located
in Washington, DC.
3. This is a three-year assignment opportunity.
4. The Talent Management Transformation Program Integration Office
(TMX-PIO) is being established to advance CCG approved Talent Management
Transformation efforts that support CG Strategy and Ready Workforce
initiatives. The TMX-PIO will be responsible for overall initiative
tracking, reporting, and management. It will also provide surge staffing
support to the Personnel Readiness Enterprise for the execution of
initiatives. The member selected will serve as the subject matter expert
on military personnel and workforce.
5. PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting for the following TMX position:

6. Eligibility:
a. Tour complete in AY24 or AY25.
b. Must be at the paygrade of the position applying for (or above the
cut of the position applying for) prior to the application deadline.
c. Meet the requirements listed in reference (A), CH 1.E.2 for all
Special Assignment positions.
7. Process/timeline:
a. NLT 01 DEC 2023: Command Endorsement shall be emailed to
HQS-SMB-PSC-EPM-2-SpecialAssignments@uscg.mil, with subject line:
"TMX PIO-Member Name, EMPLID Command Endorsement.”
b. OOA 11 DEC 2023: Selection results are released via email.
c. The expected report date is 01 JUL 2024.
8. The Special Assignments Officer will coordinate the release from
Rating process. Applicants should not contact their Assignment Officer
asking if they can be released from rate.
