THE LONG BLUE LINE, FALL 2023

The Long Blue Line, Fall (Oct) 2023 has been mailed by the National CG Museum Association (NCGMA) to the mailing addresses on file in CG Direct Access (DA) for +1,400 Coast Guard members with retirement orders and +67,000 USCG/USPHS/NOAA retirees & annuitants who've elected to receive the publication by mail.  It is also accessible, along with past issues, at: https://www.longblueline.org/   

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE CG PAY & PERSONNEL CENTER:

For the 2024 tax season, the Pay and Personnel Center will mail 1099Rs to all retirees and annuitants.  Therefore, it is imperative that your mailing address is current in DA.  Now is the time to update your records at  https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/ppc/ras/ (under “Update Contact Information”).  Don’t wait until 2024!  If your 1099R is sent to an old address, a replacement copy will only be available by electronic means.  The fastest and most reliable way to obtain your 1099R is by downloading it via self service in DA. 

Under special circumstances, replacement paper copies can be requested by following instructions on the PPC website at https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/ppc/ras/ (under “Request Duplicate 1099R and/or 1095B”).

Cyber security requirements dictate that passwords expire every 30 days.  You are encouraged to ensure your password is updated regularly to avoid delays in obtaining tax documents.
