1. In accordance with references A and B, the AY24 EPO screening
process is complete.
2. The list of applicants who have successfully screened for EPO
is available at reference C and D, under AY24 Screening Results.
3. Successfully screened candidates will be considered for EPO
positions during the AY24 assignment season but are not guaranteed
assignment as an EPO. Members that do not initially receive orders
to an EPO assignment are highly encouraged to watch for critical fill
solicitations and apply.
4. Members who successfully screened for afloat and ashore can apply
for all EPO positions. Members who successfully screened and received
only an ashore or afloat endorsement can only apply for those
applicable EPO positions. IAW reference D, E-7 through E-9 MKs and EMs
that have screened positively will be eligible for all EPO afloat
positions in their paygrade. E-7 through E9 MKs and EMs applying for
afloat positions are reminded that you have to search both EM and MK EPO
positions to apply for all the available positions.
5. Members who have successfully screened and desire assignment to an
EPO position shall follow e-resume deadlines that will be published
SEPCOR via a future ALCGENL. EPM-2 will assign the best qualified
candidates as EPOs based on the criteria set forth in chapter of
1.C.7.d.2 of reference A.
6. MK2s are not screened for afloat EPO as there are no afloat MK2
EPO assignments.
7. Since command endorsements were required for EPO screening,
endorsements are not required for EPO E-resumes. Overseas endorsements
are still required when applicable.
