1. The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) School of Medicine and Enlisted to Medical Degree Preparatory Program Panel convened on 26 April 2023. The selectees are listed below:

2. Selection by this Panel does not guarantee admission to USUHS, to include SOM and EMDP2.
3. Successful completion of EMDP2 does not guarantee admission to USUHS SOM. Completion of EMDP2, regardless of follow on admittance to SOM, accrues obligated service.
4. Selectees to SOM should expect to commission as an O-1/ENS to complete the educational program and residency.
5. EMDP2 participates should expect to maintain their enlisted rank throughout the 2 year program and should only expect to commission as an O-1/ENS if accepted to SOM following completion of EMDP2.
6. The actual date of assignment to PG/Adv Ed will be coordinated between the member, the program manager, and OPM. The SOM Program is projected to begin in July 2023 and be 4 years in duration. The EMDP2 program is projected to begin in July 2023 and be 2 years in duration. These programs are full time and require a permanent change of station to the National Capital Region.
7. IAW Ref A thru Ref D, attending a CG-funded advanced education program will incur an active duty obligation. Service obligation periods commence on the date of graduation, program completion, disenrollment, or the termination of previously incurred obligated service, whichever is later (e.g., CGA obligated service, flight training). Questions regarding obligated service should be directed to the Separations Section of PSC-OPM-1 at 202-795-6432 or HQS-SMB-PSC-OPM-1 Separations(at)uscg.mil.
