SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IDEAS
1. The Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) and
Innovation Program invites all military, civilian, reserve,
auxiliary, and contractor personnel to submit ideas for
consideration as potential research projects in the FY25 Coast
Guard Research Portfolio.
2. The deadline to submit ideas is 16 August 2023. Ideas will be
reviewed and ranked by stakeholders from across the service at an
Idea Submission Review in 1st quarter FY24.
3. To provide strategic guidance when submitting ideas, DCO/DCMS
have identified the following research priorities for FY25-26:
    a. Grow Advanced Computing Capabilities.
    b. Continue Development of Mobile Solutions.
    c. Explore Space-Based Capability.
    d. Enhance High Latitude Connectivity.
    e. Develop Service Solutions to Climate Change Impacts.
    f. Leverage Opportunities and Counter Threats Associated with
Autonomous Systems.
    g. Innovate and Adapt Technology and Operational Approaches to
Enhance Maritime Domain Awareness.
    h. Develop Human Machine Teaming.
    i. Develop Innovative Solutions to Respond to Major
Crisis/Contingency.
    j. Workforce Data Analytics.
    k. Strengthen the Safety and Security of Coast Guard Personnel.
4. It is strongly recommended that ideas are aligned to the

6. Ideas are submitted through the Coast Guard's crowdsourcing
platform, CG_Ideas@Work. The only item required to log in is a CAC.
Submit your idea in the "FY25 Research and Development Project
Ideas" campaign by selecting the orange circle icon with a
plus sign or the "submit your idea" pane.
