MSIB Vol XXIII Issue 043 Waterway Status – Temporary Closure of Grand Pass Channel UPDATE

Due to change in the schedule, the July 10, 2023, Grand Pass Channel closure is cancelled, the backup date will be utilized.

On July 12, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Grand Pass Channel will be closed to navigation within a one-half mile radius of approximate GPS position 29 15-39.12N, 089 21-4.80W while Weeks Marine Inc. removes a submerged dredge sediment pipeline as part of a Spanish Pass Ridge and Pass Restoration Project.

 

Waterway Status – Temporary Closure of Grand Pass Channel

Mariners are advised that on July 10, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Grand Pass Channel will be closed to navigation within a one-half mile radius of approximate GPS position 29 15-39.12N, 089 21-4.80W while Weeks Marine Inc. removes a submerged dredge sediment pipeline as part of a Spanish Pass Ridge and Pass Restoration Project.

In the event of inclement weather, the backup date will be July 12, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On-scene T/V JANE will monitor VHF-Channels 16 and 72.
