- In accordance with Refs A and B, this message announces the PG/Adv Ed selection panel schedule for AY24. The DA application deadline for all programs is midnight (eastern time) on 19 May 2023, which includes DA application, command endorsement in DA, and any applicable waiver submitted via DA “My Panel Submission.” Additional applications required for Law JD, Law LLM, and IPAP are prescribed in paragraph 2. Note 1: Must be an O-4, O-4(sel), or projected to be in zone for O-4. Utilize a consolidated DA Code of “CANDS” which encompasses Air, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps opportunities. Primary and alternate candidates will be removed if non-selected for O-4 or not included in the zone for O-4. Utilize member comments only to list preference order of each program.

Note 4: Utilize a consolidated DA code of “MSEPG” which encompasses all Marine Safety Engineering Programs: Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Cyber Safety, Marine, Electrical Power Systems and Controls, and Fire Protection. Utilize member comments only to list preference order of each program.
Note 5: CGA Instructor positions are open to officers and senior enlisted. Eligibility requirements are listed in ref (a).
Note 6: Utilize a consolidated DA code of “PREVIT” which encompasses all prevention industry trainings: Investigations, Merchant Marine, Port Safety and Security, and Waterways Management. Utilize member comments only to list preference order of each program. Response officers are encouraged to apply to the Marine Environmental Protection Industry Training utilizing DA Code “RESPIT.”
Note 7: Utilize a consolidated DA code of “CYBPG” which encompasses all Cyber/C5I PG programs: CCEE, IT Management, and Information Assurance. Utilize member comments only to list preference order of each program.
Note 8: Utilize a consolidated DA code of “AENGPG” which encompasses all Aeronautical Engineering PG programs: Avionics Project Management, STEM MBA, and Structures. Utilize member comments only to list preference order of each program.
Note 9: The AEOT program is a syllabus program. The obligated service accrued is 3 years; this obligated service used to run consecutively (added to other obligated service). The 3 years of obligated service now runs concurrently and will not add to the end of current obligated service unless less than 3 years remain on obligated service. Applicants need not be tour complete to apply to AEOT. Tour completion waivers are not required.
Note 10: The FSO program is a screening process. Applicants need not be tour complete to apply to AEOT. Tour completion waivers are not required. Consult the ALSAFETY message for program-specific information.
Note 11: Utilize a consolidated DA code of “MEDADV” which encompasses all medical residencies: Psychiatric, Emergency Medicine, and Healthcare Informatics. Utilize member comments only to list preference order of each program. PDF Applications are not required to apply to the CG Panel. If selected as a primary, selectees will be required to submit an application to the relevant institution.

- Olmsted: 21 July 2023 (If selected as a finalist by the CG Panel in June 2023)
- IPAP (Officer and Enlisted): 01 August 2023
- This schedule is subject to change according to the needs of the Service or in the case of program re-solicitations. PSC-OPM-1 will maintain a current schedule on the OPM-1 PG/Adv Ed CG SharePoint page listed below in paragraph 6 and will communicate any changes directly with respective Program Managers.
- The first panel convenes on 5 June and might include officers that are still within the OER submission window for regular OERs. To ensure records are complete, OERs should be submitted to OPM-3 no later than 19 May 2023 if requesting to compete for a PG/Adv Ed opportunity. Comport with requirements outlined in paragraph 12 of ref (a).
