SUBJ: APPLYING TO CLASS A-SCHOOL THROUGH DIRECT ACCESS
A. Performance, Training, and Education Manual, COMDTINST M1500.10C
1. Effective immediately, requests for Class A-Schools shall be
submitted through Direct Access. Previous Class A-School request
forms are cancelled.
2. This new process will increase efficiency, accuracy, and
enterprise visibility and tracking. Members may now see the
status of their request at any given time.
3. Members who have already requested to be placed on a Class
A-School list, or those that are already on an Class A-School
list do not need to resubmit.
4. Guides for each role, such as the requestor, approver, and waiver
authority are posted on PPC's Direct Access Process Maps & User
Guides website under "Self Service" and "Self-Service for Commands
and P&A Offices.":

5. EPM-2's SharePoint page will continue posting the monthly Class
A-School waitlist and information:

6. This ALCOAST does not impact or change:
    a. REF (A) in any way, including roles and responsibilities.
    b. CG Recruiting Command's processes when working with future
members, such as guaranteed Active Duty "A" School or Reservists.
    c. Policy or process for members requesting a change in rate.
    d. Management of the "A" School waiting lists.
7. Questions regarding this ALCOAST or units that experience
difficulties or delays in submitting Class A-School requests should
