SUBJ: OFF-SEASON CAPT SOLICITATION FOR MSU PORT ARTHUR COMMANDING
OFFICER
1. An off-season CAPT assignment solicitation exists for a Captain or
Captain (select) to serve as the MSU Port Arthur Commanding Officer,
position number 00005949. The expected report date, in alignment with
the Assignment Year (AY) 2023 timeline, is 1 Jul 2023.
2. Interested officers should apply via e-mail to Captain Patrick
Dougan and Captain Catherine Carabine by COB 16 DEC 2022. Requests
for consideration must include a flag endorsement (via email) from
the first flag in the applicant's chain of command addressing backfill
requirements and the acceptability of a potential gap. Those officers
assigned during the AY 2023 Captain Assignment Panel shall recieve a
flag endorsement from the first flag in the position the applicant is
assigned into for AY 2023, addressing backfill requirements and the
acceptability of a potential gap. Those interested Captains who were
not in play for AY 2023, but interested in this position, shall
also provide an updated Captain bio by COB on 16 DEC 2022.
