1. This is a solicitation for assignment to the MIPFTAG in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia. The MIPFTAG is responsible for establishing a 5,000
member maritime security force charged with protecting the Kingdom's
critical maritime infrastructure. This assignment is a one year PCS
deployment that begins in the summer of 2022. Successful completion of
this tour will constitute an assignment priority one (AP 1).
2. This is a dependent restricted PCS assignment.
3. Assignment criteria that applicants must meet:
a. 18 years of age at deployment date.
b. Tour complete in AY23 or AY24.
c. Suitable for overseas assignment per references A, CH 1.H.3, and D.
d. A U.S. Citizen.
e. Eligible for a secret clearance or higher.
f. Must meet OBLISERV requirements (12 months from report date).
g. Must meet Coast Guard weight standards IAW reference C.
h. e-Resume must include a Command endorsement for instructor/advisor
position IAW reference A, CH 1.E.6 to be included in Direct Access.
i. Must possess a state driver’s license valid throughout entire tour
of duty.
j. Possess a Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC).
4. Position information: Members interested in applying for the MIPFTAG

5. ASSIGNMENT PROCEDURES:
a. Interested members should submit Command endorsed e-Resume by
03NOV22.
b. Members shall request the Command endorsement via Direct Access;
hardcopy memo endorsement is not required, and email endorsements
will not be accepted.
c. Members shall complete the self-paced overseas screening checklists
IAW reference D, enclosure 2 to ensure suitability for OCONUS assignment.
6. Command endorsements should address the following:
a. Verify the member meets all assignment criteria in paragraph 3.
b. Backfill Concerns: When addressing backfills for members not tour
complete in AY23, commands should keep in mind that receiving an
immediate backfill is not always possible. The command's backfill
request will factor into the candidate selection process.
