1. CG PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting candidates for the following position:

2. Background: The Administrative Liaison to the Director,
White House Military Office (WHMO) provides administrative assistance
to the Director, WHMO on all aspects of support pertaining to the
administration of military facilities and functions in support of the
Headquarters, WHMO (WHMO HQ). For a detailed list of responsibilities,
contact POCs listed in paragraph 8.
3. The expected report date is OOA 1 May 2023.
4. Application process. All interested YN1s who meet the requirements
set forth in Refs (A) and (B) and are tour complete in 2023 should submit
an E-resume NLT 02 Sep 2022. Members will be screened for the position
and selected based on desire, background, and performance. Members must
also submit an application package to PSC-EPM-2 (CWO3 Michael T. King,
YN Assignment Officer), via their chain of command, NLT COB 02 Sep 2022.
Application packages must be submitted via e-mail in a format and size that
will facilitate forwarding to the White House staff. Application must include:
A. Cover Memo (Section 1) - Submitted in basic CG memo format. The
memo must be no more than two pages and include a narrative
expressing applicant's desire to serve as the CG YN1, White House Office
Administrative Liaison, what experience the member would bring to the
position, and view of the responsibilities of the position.
B. Command Endorsement (Section 2) - Signed memo from nominee's
Commanding Officer (O-4 or above) confirming the member satisfies
minimum requirements for special duty assignments outlined in paragraph
1.E.2.a of Ref A, a statement regarding member's demonstrated commitment
to the Coast Guard's Core Values, and the member's availability to
meet characteristics described below in paragraph 6, and indicate the
applicant's current security clearance status.
C. Signed questionnaire for National Security Positions (SF-86) (Section 3).
The member in this position must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
with a Single Scope Background Investigation, and YANKEE WHITE (YW) for
Presidential Support duty.
D. A Record Brief or Biographical Sketch (Section 5) - a brief
summary of the member's career and life experiences as it relates to
helping prepare them for this unique assignment.
E. Copies of the Last Five Performance Evaluations (Section 6).
F. A signed Certificate of Medical Officer. This form can be found on the YN
AO Portal page (Section 6).
5. This is a highly visible position that interfaces with senior White
House staff. Unit Commanders are encouraged to personally pre-screen
candidates. The best qualified candidates will be considered.
Nominees are screened IAW DoD 5210.55 and DoD 5210.87, CAT 2,
Presidential Support Personnel, The White House. All applicants must
be U.S. citizens and successfully complete TS SSBI with SCI prior to
reporting.
6. Special Requirements: Because of the unique responsibilities of
this high profile position and daily interaction with senior White
House officials, the incumbent must be a consummate
professional displaying seasoned, mature, confident leadership and
possess exemplary administrative and communications skills. All
applicants must hold a current Secret clearance and be eligible for
a TS (YW) clearance.
7. Following a records review and before final selection, selected
nominees will be invited to The White House for a mandatory
interview. Temporary duty funding is the responsibility of the
nominee's command.
