UPDATE: Coast Guard ends search for 58-year-old female in the water at Deep Creek near James River, VA
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Coast Guard ends its search for the 58-year-old female who was reported to have fallen in the water at Deep Creek near the James River Sunday evening in Newport News.
A good Samaritan discovered a body matching the description of the female near the Menchville Marina and notified the Newport News Police Department.
Coast Guard assets, including a 45-foot Response Boat–Medium crew from Station Portsmouth and an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew from Air Station Elizabeth City searched 518 square miles for over 16 hours.
