SUBJ: 74TH BIRTHDAY OF THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
1. On behalf of all members of our United States Coast Guard team,
I wish the United States Air Force a Happy 74th Birthday.
2. From its earliest beginnings, the U.S. Air Force has maintained
a legacy of brave service and extraordinary mission accomplishment.
Within the Air Force's broad spectrum of responsibilities, our
Service has enjoyed an enduring partnership with your Airmen,
whether conducting joint Arctic search and rescue operations as
the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, or inter-service
pilot exchanges during the Vietnam War, or as we currently work
to integrate former U.S. Air Force C-27J airframes into our
operational force structure.
3. The U.S. Air Force has continually innovated, collaborated,
and served the Nation with valor and courage. The U.S. Air Force
remains at the leading edge of ensuring the United States maintains
an advantage and dominance in air and cyberspace. As you accelerate
change in these domains, we look forward to many more years of
shared success and partnership.
