1. This ALCOAST announces the USCG WOC STEM Awardees for 2021.
These awards recognize outstanding women from all racial
backgrounds in the STEM fields and provide excellent
opportunities to showcase the superior achievements of the
US Coast Guard's highest performing military and civilian women.
Please congratulate the below USCG WOC STEM 2021 Awardees:

LT Andrea Molina - C5I Program Management Office

2. The WOC STEM Digital Conference and award ceremonies will be
held October 7-9, 2021. WOC has created a virtual event called
the digital twin experience (DTX) which provides the attendee
in-the-moment experiences akin to attending an in-person event.
The 2021 WOC STEM DTX theme is 'Reset to Rise: It's a New Day!'
The event provides a forum to recognize the significant
contributions of women in STEM fields, opportunities for career
advancement networking, and learning opportunities in STEM fields.
This conference further promotes the Coast Guard's diversity and
inclusion initiatives.
3. IAW DHS Conference Policy Chapter 7: Travel 7.10-Conferences
REF (A), if the event is an online/virtual conference and the
only fee is for registration, and the registration fee is under
$2,500 per person, irrespective of the number of attendees a
conference approval package is not required. However,
COMDT (CG-127) must provide a final count of all USCG participants
in the WOC STEM DTX Conference. For all attendees, please forward
the following information to HQS-SMB-CG127-Conference@uscg.mil:

ii. Rank/Civilian Pay Grade
iii. Job Title
iv. Unit/Office/Division
v. Current PDS Location
vi. Previous Attendee (Y/N)
Please provide this data call to COMDT (CG-127), no later than
October 16, 2021.
4. Commanding Officers are encouraged to support the professional
development of government personnel. However, on-line registration
fees will be at unit expense. The WOC DTX Conference registration
fees range from $475 to $950 per person, the specific cost is
dependent upon number of participation days. All participants will
be responsible for establishing their online connectivity to the
WOC STEM DTX Conference via the internet.
