SUBJ:  ANNUAL RELEASE OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND ANTI-DISCRIMINATION/
ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY STATEMENTS
1. The Coast Guard is steadfast in ensuring a workplace free from
discrimination, including harassment. Mission success requires a
talented workforce and the Coast Guard must set the example as an
employer of choice for both military members and civilian employees.
Our Service's Core Values of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty
demand that we treat each other with dignity and value everyone's
contributions. The competition for talent continues to increase and
those seeking to join our organization must see the Coast Guard as
a workplace that develops and nurtures professional and personal
growth in an accepting and respectful environment.
2. The release of the updated policy statements for Equal
Opportunity (EO) and Anti-Discrimination/Anti-Harassment reaffirms
my dedication to eliminating discrimination, including harassment,
and ensures that the Coast Guard recruits and retains a highly
qualified and diverse workforce.
3. All Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers in Charge,
Assistant Commandants and Directors of Staffs must read the policy
statements to all hands and ensure the proper posting and
dissemination. Thereafter, leaders must model and communicate the
outlined workplace expectations on a routine basis. Commands may

4. The Coast Guard Civil Rights Directorate is available to provide
guidance and assist Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge,
management officials and supervisors in ensuring an effective work
environment for all. Accordingly, all personnel are encouraged to
contact a Civil Rights Service Providers (CRSP) with any
Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination/Anti-Harassment

5. We must continue to uphold our Service's Core Values and strive
to eradicate any and all forms of discrimination, bullying, and
intolerance that serve to degrade our excellence in mission
execution, good order and discipline, and morale. Workplaces that
are free from harassment and discrimination are essential to
Service readiness and ensure that we remain Semper Paratus.
