1. By order of the Commandant and IAW REF (A), the National
Ensign shall be flown at half mast from sunrise until sunset
on Monday, 13 Sep 2021, in honor of Admiral James Steele
Gracey, USCG (retired), 17th Commandant of the Coast Guard.
2. The National Ensign shall be flown at half mast on all
Coast Guard buildings, grounds, and vessels not underway.
3. As announced in REF B, ADM James Steele Gracey, USCG
(retired), passed away on Sunday, 5 April 2020, in Falls
Church, VA, at the age of 92. ADM Gracey will be interred
at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, 13 Sep 2021, at
1100. ADM Gracey's biography and additional information can
