1. REFs (A) and (B) direct Commanding Officers, Officers in Charge,
Supervisors, and Managers to ensure that their workplaces comply
with Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Opportunity (EEO/EO)
regulations, policies, and procedures.
2. The Civil Rights Command Checklist is a self-assessment tool
that assists unit commands in evaluating whether or not they are
complying with EEO/EO requirements. The Checklist consists of seven
categories that include policy, access to the complaint process,
management responsibilities, workforce initiatives, protecting
personally identifiable information (PII), records management,
and awards and recognition.
3. Commands of units with 50 or more positions, as indicated on the
Personnel Allowance List (PAL), must complete the Command
Checklist each year by 31 October.
4. During the month of September, Civil Rights Service Providers
(CRSPs) will contact commands to offer assistance with completing
the Command Checklist and help management develop plans to correct
any non-compliant items. A list of CRSPs is available at:
