1. Per REF (A), Implementation of the new travel system, E-Gov
Travel System (ETS), will begin on 01OCT21 (Q1 of FY22). ETS is the
Coast Guard's all-in-one travel system that will assist our members
with booking travel, creating and approving orders, and submitting
travel claims. Training the Coast Guard workforce on ETS prior to
go-live is a top priority. Implementation teams have developed a
training plan to include online resources such as user guides,
video tutorials, and online forums. Additionally, we have
identified the primary user populations to receive training, as
well as establishing the best delivery method for training each
group of users. ETS defines roles as Travelers, Approvers, and
System Administrators.
2. Initial training will be provided via online webinars by
CWTSato and consist of three courses, each lasting between
3-4 hours in length: Basic Traveler, Advanced Traveler, and
ETS Approver.
3. Units have identified their Funds Managers and Approving
Officials as ETS Approvers. These personnel have been invited by
direct email invitation to attend each of the three courses during
the week of 30AUG21. All three courses will be additionally
offered for those invitees that are not able to attend that week.
4. The Travel Management Office (TMO) has published the weekly
webinar schedule and key updates on our ETS website at:

A series of these three training sessions for all other user
populations will be available via virtual webinar starting the
week of 07SEP21.
5. These webinars will be available each week leading up to go-live,
and will continue on a bi-weekly basis after go-live until the new
calendar year. Unit Commanders, Commanding Officers,
Officers-In-Charge, and Supervisors are strongly encouraged to
ensure participation in ETS training prior to go-live of 01OCT21.
