SUBJ: OFF-SEASON CAPT SOLICITATION FOR MSU PORTLAND COMMANDING 
OFFICER
1. An off-season CAPT assignment opportunity exists for a Captain or
Captain (select) to serve as Commanding Officer of Marine Safety 
Unit Portland. The position number is 00020753, and the anticipated 
report date is early fall of 2021.
2. Interested Captains, Captains (sel) and Commanders in Zone for O6 
in PY22 should apply via email to CAPT Catherine Carabine by COB 18
AUG 2021. Requests for consideration must include a command 
endorsement (via email) from the first flag in the applicant's chain
of command addressing backfill requirements and the acceptability of
a potential gap.
