SUBJ: REMINDER TO TAKE THE 2021 COAST GUARD ORGANIZATIONAL
ASSESSMENT SURVEY (CG-OAS)
1. This message serves as a reminder to participate in the
2021 Coast Guard Organizational Assessment Survey (CG-OAS).
This year, the survey has been updated to be responsive to
current events, so your input is extremely important in
gaining a sense of how CG members are managing their work
and life demands in these challenging times. This survey
is a great way for the USCG to measure employee satisfaction
and get an idea of how the USCG can improve, but only if you
speak out and complete the survey. Feedback from the CG-OAS
helps us to know where we can do better and provides you with
an opportunity to express your opinions regarding programs,
policies, procedures, initiatives, and your overall work
environment. A high level of participation means that more
voices will be heard, data will be more accurate, and results
will be more meaningful and tailored to employee needs and
concerns. A win-win for everyone.
2. U.S. OPM will be sending reminder email invitations to
those who have not yet completed the survey. These emails
will enable user-specific access to the survey. The emails
should NOT be forwarded to others, otherwise, someone else
will be your voice! The survey will take approximately 30-45
minutes to complete, and survey administration is planned
to end on September 24, 2021. Cutters who need additional
time to complete the survey should contact the CG-OAS program
manager by email (jeyanthiflora.wesley@uscg.mil).
3. After completing the survey, all CG members' responses will
be kept confidential and combined to create several reports;
you will not receive any additional reminders from OPM.
4. The CG-OAS is a powerful organizational improvement tool,
but its effectiveness depends on your participation. Please
take the time to complete this important survey and encourage
others to do the same. The CG-OAS team thanks you!
5. (CG-OAS) Program Manager: Mrs. Jeyanthi Flora Wesley,
COMDT (CG-1B1), by email to jeyanthiflora.wesley@uscg.mil.
6. Dr. D. M. Navarro, Acting Assistant Commandant for Human
Resources (CG-1), sends.
7. Internet release is authorized.
