MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Coast Guard to convene public hearing into loss of Liftboat Seacor Power
WASHINGTON - The Coast Guard is scheduled to conduct a formal public hearing starting Monday, August 2 in Houma, La, to consider evidence related to the capsizing of the Liftboat Seacor Power and the loss of 13 of its 19 crewmembers.
The hearing will take place at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Houma, La, and the event is open to the public. Due to current COVID-19 conditions, all attendees will be required to adhere to certain mitigation measures, including the use of masks, pre-entrance self-screening and temperatures checks, and socially distanced seating.
The formal hearing is scheduled to convene daily at 8 a.m. CDT on weekdays, August 2-13.

Marine Board Chair, Capt. Tracy Phillips, will be available for a press briefing at 4 p.m. CDT on Monday, August 2.
