1. COMDT (CG-R) solicits volunteers to serve on the 2022 Coast Guard
Reserve Awards Panel. Panel members have a unique leadership
opportunity to impact the selection of recipients for the Coast
Guard Reserve awards and scholarships administered annually by
COMDT (CG-R).
2. The panel consists of one Captain (O-6) to serve as panel
president, six members, and one alternate. The alternate will
serve as a voting member in the event a quorum cannot be reached.
Selected panel members will be appointed by COMDT (CG-R) to serve
during FY2022.
3. The panel will convene multiple times during the year based on
the submission schedules for each award or scholarship. The panel
will meet virtually and shall deliberate as deemed necessary by the
panel president.
4. Panel membership is open to all Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve,
Auxiliary, and Civilian personnel. Applicants must submit a Coast
Guard memorandum, not to exceed one page, addressing interest in
panel membership and reasons for applying. Military applicants shall
include an Employee Summary Sheet from Coast Guard Business
Intelligence (CGBI). Civilian applicants shall include a personal
resume. All applications must have command endorsement and must be
submitted electronically in PDF format to the point of contact (POC)
below. The application deadline is 30 September 2021.
