1. This message solicits applicants for the HS2 position at
Station Golden Gate for a four year tour.
2. Report date OOA 01 Jul 2022.  
3. Interested candidates should submit a memorandum with command
endorsement NLT 18 Jun 2021 via email to the EPM-2 POC listed in
paragraph 8.
4. Members and Commands should review Chapter 1.C.16 of
Reference (A) for assignment criteria for Independent Duty
positions. 
5. Command endorsement criteria: All candidates should demonstrate
character suitability in maturity, clinic experience, and judgment
for an independent assignment with a preferred 2 years of
experience as an HS2. The command endorsement should include
comments from the Unit CO, Regional Manager, Supervising
Medical Officer and Health Services Administrator in support of
the member's ability to perform the duties in accordance with this
assignment.
6. All candidates will have a final interview with a HSWL SC
Operational Medicine Psychiatrist prior to assignment selection. 
7. Training: The member selected for this position will be
required to attend USN Behavioral Health Technician "C" School, a
16 week course at Military Education Training Campus (METC) in
San Antonio, TX from 21 July 2021 - 04 November 2021. Selected
member will also attend IDHS "C" school in the spring of 2022.
