SUBJ:  HACK THE FUTURE MARKETPLACE OPEN ON CG_IDEAS@WORK
1. This ALCOAST announces the Hack the Future (HTF) marketplace
hosted on the CG_Ideas@Work platform.
2. The Commandant's Strategic Plan 2018–2022 calls on us to “employ
the right combination of technologies and information sciences to
meet future readiness needs.” There is a remarkable amount of talent
across the Coast Guard critical to ensuring continued Coast Guard
innovation. The HTF marketplace offers Coast Guard members with an
interest in Operations Research (OR), programming, and data
analytics a community to brainstorm and develop solutions to
pressing challenges.
3. Through the HTF marketplace the entire Coast Guard workforce
(Active, Reserve, Civilian, and Auxiliary) is urged to leverage
their experiences and expertise to support existing data analytics
projects, propose and develop new data project ideas, and explore
ideas for graduate school areas of research. This is your
opportunity to contribute and make a difference to our service.
4. The HTF marketplace can be accessed through the Coast Guard's
crowdsourcing site CG_Ideas@Work from the following link:
https://cg-ideasatwork.ideascalegov.com/a/pages/hack-the-future.
5. If not already a CG_Ideas@Work account holder, you can request a
user account by visiting https://cg-ideasatwork.ideascalegov.com and
