SUBJ: AY22 ENLISTED PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT ROADSHOW SOLICITATION
A. ALCGENL 042/21, ENLISTED PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT ASSIGNMENT YEAR 2022
KICK OFF
1. In accordance with Reference (A), EPM-2 is soliciting for units
interested in receiving EPM's Assignments and Career Development
Presentation in preparation for Assignment Year 2022 (AY22).
2. Beginning in Spring 2021, EPM-2 Assignment Officers (AOs) and
Central Assignment Coordinators (CACs) are available to deliver personnel
management overview presentations and career counseling.
3. LT Charles Collins is this season’s Roadshow Coordinator. Commands
requesting a unit visit, VTC, or webinar should submit an email request to
Charles.V.Collins@uscg.mil NLT 31 May 2021. Requests should
include the following information:
A. Command point of contact
B. Names of units expected to attend (if submitting a consolidated
request)
C. Estimated number of participants
D. Preferred and alternate dates for presentation
E. Preferred AO rating(s)
4. The singular common thread in feedback from EPM-2 AOs on the "best"
presentations across the fleet each year are those where command
advocacy/promotion of an EPM Roadshow was most evident. EPM-2 encourages
unit leaders to optimize attendance at these invaluable opportunities
for the enlisted workforce to directly engage with their AOs.
5. A wide array of topics will be covered, including enlisted
assignments, transfer requests, career progression, separations,
High Year Tenure, and Senior Enlisted Continuation Board. Members attending
will be given the information needed to craft a realistic e-resume for
their rating. These presentations will cover information that will benefit
all enlisted personnel regardless of rating or tour completion date.
EPM-2 encourages all interested commands to submit a request to host an
event.
6. Due to COVID-19, units may be unable to receive an onsite Roadshow
presentation, however, units will have the ability to participate in
webinars, VTC, etc. if onsite is determined to be unavailable. Unit
POCs and the EPM Roadshow Coordinator will determine which medium
is most appropriate based on each unit's communications capabilities.
A. Commands/members interested in attending a webinar or VTC or
identifying an onsite Roadshow in their area should access the CG
Portal Roadshow calendar located at https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/units/
psc/psc-epm/Lists/EPM2%20Webinar%20Calendar/calendar.aspx to view
available dates.
B. Due to limited log-ins, commands with multiple members of a
specific rating are encouraged to collaborate and have members attend
the webinars together.
7. Roadshow Coordinator: LT C. Collins, (202) 795-6578 or at
charles.v.collins@uscg.mil.
8. CDR R. Deisher, Branch Chief, PSC-EPM-2, sends.
9. Internet release is authorized.
