DEVELOPMENT TRAINING (PDT) 2021
1. The AGA PDT 2021 will be conducted virtually from
19-21 July. This year’s theme is “Set The Stage.” AGA’s PDT
brings together a broad audience of more than 2,000 federal,
state and local government financial professionals, including
CFOs, inspectors generals, accountants, auditors, and financial
professionals from the private sector. PDT offers Coast Guard
members educational sessions during three days of training, and
participants can earn up to 21 hours of continuing professional
education (CPE) credits. Participants gain skills and knowledge
toward more effective leadership, performance in a
cost-constrained environment, solutions to shared challenges, and
best practices.
2. Attendance is open to all Coast Guard active duty and civilian
members within the financial management community. Selection
priority will be given to those who hold Certified Government
Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager,
and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certifications.
3. Registration will enable attendees to participate in live
virtual sessions, and provides full access to all recorded PDT
sessions, which will be available online for one year from the
date of the training. COMDT (CG-81) will fund registration costs
for up to 90 attendees. Requests must be received by 4 June to
facilitate the reduced early registration fee.
4. Personnel interested in attending the virtual AGA PDT 2021 must
read the SF-182 instructions, complete the SF-182 template on
CGPortal at https://cglink.uscg.mil/35429a0, and email it to
dianne.s.trawick@uscg.mil by close of business 4 June 2021. Title
the subject, “AGA PDT 2021 ATTENDEE,” and in the email provide the
following information:
    a. First Name
    b. Last Name
    c. Email Address
    d. Job Title
    e. AGA Member (Y/N), if yes, provide AGA Membership Number
    f. Previous Attendee (Y/N)
    g. Which certifications, if any, you hold (CGFM, CDFM, and/or
CPA) No requests will be considered after 4 June 2021.
5. CG-81 will notify approved attendees and provide the link for
conference registration.
