MANAGEMENT TRANSITION FROM FAITAS TO CORNERSTONE ONDEMAND
1. This ALCOAST announces the transition from the Federal
Acquisition Institute Training Application System (FAITAS)
to the new Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) platform of
Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), a platform shared with Defense
Acquisition University (DAU). FAI anticipates the transition
in June 2021. Specific dates will be shared once identified.
2. CSOD offers the acquisition workforce a cloud-based,
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution with a design based
on best practices for an improved user experience. CSOD will
provide the vast majority of FAITAS’ current functionality,
but it will look and feel different to the user. FAITAS was
built as a custom system for the government. We anticipate
all users will rapidly recognize the benefits of CSOD’s robust,
modern design and the regular updates and enhancements,
including those based on feedback from the entire DOD
user base.
3. DHS has been working closely with FAI/DAU to migrate current
FAITAS profiles to the CSOD platform. DAU has already securely
and successfully transitioned many DOD organizations to the CSOD
environment, including all user training records. No action is
required of the workforce to facilitate user profile transition
from FAITAS to CSOD.
4. CSOD will be accessed through your current DAU login via user
name/password - CAC authentication will be authorized at a later
date. Beginning June 2021, CSOD will be the only platform to
manage all (contracting and non-contracting) acquisition career
field training, certification, and continuous learning
requirements.
5. Transition Schedule:
    a. 09 March – 30 April 2021: End User training Webinars.
End-User Webinars will be available twice weekly, morning &
afternoon sessions beginning 09 March. Registration is currently
open in FAITAS. Course ID: FCL-DHS-0172: DHS FAITS to CSOD
Migration Overview.
    b. NLT 1 May 2021: AWF members should complete any courses,
continuous learning achievements or certification requests
which require FAITAS workflow approval to avoid any issues
with profile transition to CSOD.
    c. June 2021 (FAI/DHS to provide firm launch date) – CSOD
goes live; FAITAS no longer the platform to request acquisition
career field training, continuous learning achievement,
certification, etc.
